Abaantu Festival Exhibition Opening Reception and Performance

Join us for the official unveiling of All the Colours of My Dreams by artist Odartey Aryee in the FINA Gallery. The event will include a late afternoon of art, introductory remarks, and deep community connection. This special reception launches Odartey Aryee’s exhibition, which will remain open for visitors through October 8, 2026. The night will follow with a sound and music experience, Birth of a New Jazz—an exploration of the Sound of Ubuntu.

This event is supported by the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies and is part of the 2026 Abaantu Festival, organized by Kinfolk Nation. Abaantu: Festival of Stories unites diverse narratives through a week-long celebration of African and I-BPOC creativity, fostering connections across cultures. Join us to explore a rich tapestry of artistic expressions that include spoken word, music and visual art, all while engaging in meaningful dialogues and community building.
