Alumni Office Hours with Moises Uribe – Financial Innovation & Sustainable Investment Banking at Silverback Ventures

The Centre for Student Involvement and Careers, in partnership with the UBC Hub of Ten Thousand Coffees, is excited to bring you a virtual mentorship and networking opportunity to connect with UBC alumnus, Moises Uribe. This event is open to all students and alumni.

In this Alumni Office Hour, Moises will talk about his transition from food science to investment banking, a journey of life lessons, making mistakes and experiencing life to the fullest.

Moises is highly experienced and passionate for the implementation and execution of sustainable development models. He has more than 15 years of international professional experience in human resources, logistics and big four consulting where he served as senior vice-president – corporate finance at Deloitte. Of these, 10 years have been in investment banking, business structuring/development and corporate finance in Canada, Colombia, the United States and Mexico.

Moises integrates his acute business development skills, experience in financial innovation and investment banking with sustainability and seeks to demystify the complexities of finance using simplification tools. All this with the intent to build engagement, inclusion and goal congruency, harvesting the power of collective action and thinking.

The event will take place through a webinar format, and an event Link will be emailed to you within 48 hours of the office hour. Attending an Office Hour is an excellent opportunity for you to expand your network and participate in an open, round-table discussion with an alumni.

Make sure to prepare one question for our alumna speaker for this Office Hour. You will be given an opportunity to ask your question either verbally or through GoToWebinar’s chat function.
