Discover the artistic side of scientific research at UBC Okanagan.

Join us for a one-day public exhibition showcasing paintings, photographs, microscopy images, wildlife photos, interactive displays and more—created by scientists who draw inspiration from their research.

Attend the event

Enjoy an afternoon of original artwork created by researchers from the Irving K. Barber Faculty of Science. Connect with local scientists, explore the beauty within scientific discovery and vote for your favourite piece in the People’s Choice Award.

Admission is by donation or free with your student ID. Food and beverages will be provided.

No registration is required to attend.

Call for submissions

Researchers are invited to contribute artistic works that highlight creativity in STEM.

Who can submit

Undergraduate students, graduate students and faculty from any lab in the Irving K. Barber Faculty of Science.

To apply, submit by April 1, 2026.

What you need to apply

Your name, email, and the type of art you plan to enter (artwork does not need to be started or completed yet).
