Assessing Scholarly Publishers

There has been a proliferation of “scholarly” publishers in recent years. Not all are legitimate.
What indicators can researchers use to determine whether or not a publisher is rigorous, respected as well as legitimate and not just a scam.
This workshop will provide you with guidelines you can apply to critically assess publishers before you submit your scholarly articles for publication. Please feel free to bring publisher names you might be considering and we can use them as examples for analysis.
Suitable for all researchers.
This workshop qualifies for the Scholarly Research, Writing, and Publishing Credential offered through the College of Graduate Studies.
