Ballet Kelowna presents Restless Balance
February 14 at 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Ballet Kelowna presents three evocative works this Valentine’s Day weekend with its mixed program, Restless Balance, on February 13 and 14 at the Kelowna Community Theatre. This striking program features Threefold Beat, a new piece inspired by the rhythm and flow of the body’s cardiovascular system. Choreographed collaboratively by Ballet Kelowna Rehearsal Director Joanna Lige and company dancers Kurt Werner and Donaldo Nava, their first-ever work for the company celebrates the athleticism and virtuosity of ballet. Restless Balance also includes the return of the contemporary favourite taqəš by Associate Artist Cameron sinkʷə Fraser-Monroe, and Schubert, a luminous neoclassical reflection on the life of a ballerina and the central role women play in the evolution of the art form, created by esteemed Canadian choreographer John Alleyne.
Tickets are $25 for UBCO students, sponsored by the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies. Choose between Ballet Kelowna’s classic 7:30 pm show time on Friday and Saturday nights, or our brand-new matinee performance at 1:30 pm on Saturdays.
