Ça fait jaser : Journée internationale de la francophonie

Join us at UBC Okanagan in the University Theatre (ADM026) to celebrate the 25th Rendez-vous de la Francophonie.
Dans le cadre des 25e Rendez-vous de la Francophonie (rvf.ca), joignez-vous à une activité vins et fromages suivie d’une projection de films documentaires et d’une causerie portant sur les relations entre la langue et l’identité. “Ça fait jaser” est une activité ouverte aux employé.es et aux étudiant.e.s de UBC Okanagan et aux partenaires d’Espaces francophones.
“Ça fait jaser” is a social event to celebrate the 25th Rendez-vous de la Francophonie (rvf.ca). You are invited to a wine & cheese social, followed by the screening of a series of short documentary films on language and identity. Activity is open to the UBCO campus employees and students as well a Espaces francophones’ community partners
Films include:
- Assez French (18 minutes, Alexis Normand, 2022)
- Éloge du chiac – partie 2 (77 min, Marie Cadieux, 2009)
- Wapikoni mobile 2007 – L’Amendement (4 minutes, Kevin Papatie, 2007)
All films will be shown in French with English subtitles. Join us at 5:30 for a wine and cheese celebration before the films to mix and mingle with fellow francophones, screening will begin at 7:00.
This event is free and open to all, registration is requested.
