Join us for the opening session of Career Development Week for International Students.
Career Development Week for International Students is designed to help international students navigate the Canadian job market and to identify workplace expectations while developing intercultural competency.
Participants will be able to build job-search, interview, and networking skills, as well as understand more about the legal requirements for working in Canada
About the Speaker
Enya Ren was born in Beijing, China and came to Canada as an international student in 2007 by herself, and never left this beautiful land since. Ren has been working in higher education since 2010 and has held various positions at post-secondary institutions and government crown corporation within BC. Currently, she is the Executive Assistant to the Vice President, International Education & Strategic Partnerships at Douglas College.
Ren has earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a marketing specialty from Okanagan College, and holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration and Leadership from Royal Roads University. She also spent one semester studying abroad in Vienna, Austria at FHWien University of Applied Sciences of WKW as a Chinese exchange student from Canada.
In her spare time, Enya enjoys running and international adventures, she has travelled to over 20 countries. Her most fearless adventure was bungee jump at Victoria Falls bridge in Zimbabwe.
