Celebrating One Year of the Black Student Space

The Black Student Success Program (BSSP) warmly invites you to join us in celebrating a special milestone—one year of the Black Student Space at UBC Okanagan.
Since its opening on October 23, 2024, the Black Student Space has become a vibrant hub for connection, empowerment, and belonging. This anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the past year, honour the community that has grown, and look forward to the continued journey of support and collaboration.
The celebration will be hosted in the Sawchuk Theatre, where there will be opening remarks, reflections, and a celebration of the past year. Guests are also encouraged to visit the Black Student Space in COM 121 to connect with our student leaders, explore the space, and build community.
This event is open to all students, faculty and staff who wish to celebrate, learn, and share in this community milestone. Light refreshments will be provided.
We would be delighted to have you join us as we reflect on our collective progress and look ahead to the future of Black Student Success at UBCO.
