February 17, 2021 at 9:00 am - 10:00 am

The CMPS Symposium Series is a partnership of the Department of Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics and the Irving K. Barber Faculty of Science.

Talk title: The UK Biobank: Brain Imaging at the Population Scale
Speaker: Dr. Karla Miller, Professor of Biomedical Engineering, University of Oxford
Date: Wednesday, February 17, 9 to 10 a.m.
Platform: Via Zoom

About the talk:

The UK Biobank is currently conducting the most ambitious imaging study ever undertaken, scanning 100,000 subjects, with brain imaging as a key component. In this talk, Miller will overview the Biobank neuroimaging resource, which includes six separate imaging modalities. She’ll then present several studies that highlight how this resource is already revolutionizing the neuroimaging field by enabling both discovery science and hypothesis-driven research that previously would not have been possible.

Registration is not required. The zoom link will be live for the presentation.
