Dr. Janice Eng Presentation: It Takes a Village to Support an Academic

Professor Janice Eng will reflect on her 25-year-career at UBC, spanning roles as Professor, Canada Research Chair (Tier1) in Neurological Rehabilitation, Department Head, Associate Dean, Health Research Advisor and Centre Head.  She will discuss issues relevant to early career researchers, including increasing success in attaining grants, work-life balance and mentorship.

Dr. Eng is one of six UBC faculty recently honoured as a University Killam Professor. Recognized for her outstanding research and teaching career, it is the highest honour that UBC can bestow on its faculty.

Dr. Philip Barker, Vice-Principal and Associate Vice -President, Research and Innovation, will facilitate a Q&A following the presentation.
