EMERGE Career Week – Cross-cultural Barriers in the Workplace: an Intercultural Lens

In this session, students will participate in a facilitated discussion about work-place barriers using an intersectional lens and explore ways to overcome cultural barriers and improve cross cultural communication and expression.

EMERGE is a week-long event featuring different workshops, speakers, coaching sessions, and networking opportunities intended to support Black students and students of color while they navigate the job market. The aim of this event is to understand the intricacies of working in the world as a person of colour, and provide solutions to unique challenges that may present themselves to people within this community. Join a network of peers and receive targeted guidance how to emerge and advocate for yourself and others while job hunting.

All EMERGE sessions are free for UBCO students, but registration is required.
