EMERGE Career Week – Networking event

A networking opportunity where you choose who you speak with and use your curiosity. Get all your questions answered from alumni and community partners from multiple sectors including; finance, federal government, insurance, business, arts, and engineering, and education.
Our session panelists will discuss their career paths and share personal best practices and tools that helped them to succeed, as well as what it takes to overcome barriers in pursuit of personal and professional excellence.
This event will consist of two parts:
- A panel discussion
- Informal conversations with alumni and industry partners in breakout rooms. Attendees, visit one or all the break out rooms.
EMERGE is a week-long event featuring different workshops, speakers, coaching sessions, and networking opportunities intended to support Black students and students of color while they navigate the job market. The aim of this event is to understand the intricacies of working in the world as a person of colour, and provide solutions to unique challenges that may present themselves to people within this community. Join a network of peers and receive targeted guidance how to emerge and advocate for yourself and others while job hunting.
All EMERGE sessions are free for UBCO students, but registration is required.
