Enacting Community Engaged Research Data Management Symposium

Do you have recordings, photographs, stories, artwork, or data samples from community research projects? Where are you storing them? Have you shared them with your community partners? Are they in an archive and, if so, who has access? Do you report this information in your publications about the project? If these are questions you’ve been asking yourself or want to learn more about, please join us as we discuss Community Engaged Research – Data Management (CER-DM).
You are invited to attend this two-day symposium which explores wise practices of Research Data Management in the context of Community Engaged Research. One focus of the symposium will be to share and workshop the Community Engaged Research Data Management (CER-DM) Handbook – concrete guidelines for responsible data storage and stewardship in community research contexts.
Day one will feature keynote presentations by the invited speakers and panel discussions. On day two, you will participate in a live peer review of a draft of the CER Research Data Management Handbook. Copies of the Handbook will be shared with you prior to the start of the conference. You will receive a Peer Review Certificate after your participation in day two.
Registration includes: Two breakfasts, two lunches, and two snacks each day. If you require parking, we will also issue you a parking coupon. Please contact us to request this.
