Epic Reading of Roy Miki’s Poetry

January 14 at 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Love poetry? Come join us in the AMP Lab (FIP 251) for an epic reading experience, celebrating the work of Canadian poet Roy Miki. We’ll gather to take turns reading out loud from Miki’s body of work, with guidance from UBCO postdoctoral fellow, Klara du Plessis. Drop in at any point throughout the event and help us celebrate poetry, build community, and perform the archive.

The Epic Reading Series is a three-hour-long reading event featuring the entire collected works of acclaimed Canadian poets, curated by an AMP Lab affiliate or student, where guests are invited to read poetry aloud.

About the AMP Lab

The AMP Lab at UBC Okanagan houses projects that engage in the work of the humanities—adding value to cultural artifacts through interpretation and analysis—in a digital context, with an emphasis on audio media and/or poetry.
