FASS Three Minute Thesis Heat
March 10 at 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
All graduate students in a thesis-based program are invited to compete in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) Three Minute Thesis heat on March 10.
Come out and showcase the amazing work you’re doing (or are planning on doing) in your program. The winners of the heat will then advance to the UBC Okanagan final event on April 14 at the Mary Irwin Theatre.
3MT is a great opportunity to highlight the significance of your research and its impact on the world to a panel of judges and an audience of your peers. Not only will you gain valuable presentation experience, you’ll also learn about the other research happening on our campus. Even if you’re in the first year of your program, please consider signing up! To help you prepare, there are a number of workshops and practice sessions being offered.
This year, for the first time, prize money will be available for FASS 3MT Heat winners!
