Flora’s Walk for Perinatal Mental Health

May 25 at 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join the OK Perinatal Collective walking in the 4th Annual Flora’s Walk for Perinatal Mental Health.

Flora’s Walk is named for a Canadian mother, Flora, who tragically lost her life in 2022 to undetected, undiagnosed, and untreated postpartum psychosis. We honour Flora and all those who have lost their lives to perinatal mental illness and fight for those struggling to receive care.

The OK Perinatal Collective is a group of scholars, academics, students, and individuals in the Okanagan (Syilx Territory) who are deeply passionate about improving perinatal mental health outcomes.

The Collective is led by Dr. Sarah Dow-Fleisner (UBCO, School of Social Work, Centre for the Study of Services to Children and Families) and Dr. Elizabeth Keys (UBCO, School of Nursing, SLUMBER Lab). Together we work (and walk) to develop meaningful collaborations aimed at

We invite anyone interested in participating in this walk to raise awareness for perinatal mental health to join and register for our team. For more information, updates, and/or to let us know you are interested, please complete the following form:
