From Graduation to Industry

October 19 at 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Free

Thinking of pursuing your career in the Central Okanagan? The region needs great young professionals like you!

In the Okanagan, it pays to know people. The Okanagan Young Professionals (OYP) Collective and the Connector Program—initiatives of the Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission—are here to help.

For 10 years, OYP has been helping to connect young professionals and soon-to-be professionals with each other, and with opportunities in the region. That includes everything from monthly casual networking to learning opportunities. OYP is also a hub for local information on events, people and jobs.

Similarly, the Connector Program is an informal way to begin building a professional network. It’s a simple, no-cost referral process that seeks to put you in touch with highly connected people within the community. While it can’t promise a job, being better connected can only help.

Join OYP Community Cultivator Tory (Victoria) Braun, the Connector Program Manager Myrna Stark Leader ABC/APR & Business Development Officer, Eva Weston as they share more details about these two initiatives, why you might need to be involved, and answer any questions.

There might even be a prize or two!
