Gardening 101 with UBCO Seed Library

March 27 at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free
UBC Okanagan Seed Library

Join UBCO Library for a workshop on how to start your own mini garden! Interactions with nature, no matter how small, are a boost to wellbeing and growing a small amount of your own food can build health and confidence.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to grow plants from seed and repot them when they’re ready. All supplies will be provided for you to start a few vegetable, herb, and/or wildflower seeds for crops that do well in pots.

This workshop is best for beginner gardeners or for those who would like to learn tips for growing in the Okanagan climate.

We will also introduce UBCO’s Seed Library, where you can get unique seeds for free and information on how to grow them! You are invited to contribute some seeds back to the library once your plant has gone to seed.
