Hiking Series with Move U Crew: Knox Mountain—Apex Trail
Join Recreation’s Move U Crew in a fall hiking series! For the fourth hike of the season, Move U Crew will lead a hike at Knox Mountain.
Knox Mountain is located downtown and is accessible by any bus that arrives at Queensway Exchange (from UBC Okanagan, the most convenient bus would be the 97). From there, a quick ride on the number 2 bus will drop you off at the base of the mountain where there is a disc golf course and tennis courts.
Knox Mountain offers paths that vary in difficulty. From the base, there is an easy-moderate hiking path or a roadway to the first “checkpoint” of the mountain. From here, there are a variety of paths that vary between easy/moderate and more difficult. Move U Crew will lead the hike along the Paul’s Tomb trail, which is considered an easy to slightly moderate route. This route is approximately 6.6 km long and will take approximately 2 hours to complete.
Meeting Spot: Beside the Tennis Courts at the base of Knox Mountain Drive.
This event will run rain or shine. If there is an extreme weather event or poor air quality, this event will be cancelled by 8 am on the morning of the event, and you will be notified by email.
