IdeaFest: Stable and Profitable Trading Platforms for Smallholder Commodity Supply Chains

April 22 at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

IdeaFest is a dynamic series of events designed to ignite creativity and drive innovation. This engaging forum brings together students, faculty and industry leaders to explore groundbreaking ideas through talks, workshops and collaborative discussions, fostering curiosity and interdisciplinary connections.

More than just a lecture series, IdeaFest offers an interactive experience with thought leaders, encouraging creative problem‑solving and visionary thinking.

As part of the festival, Dr. Dan Iancu of Stanford Graduate School of Business will present Stable and Profitable Trading Platforms for Smallholder Commodity Supply Chains. His session examines how digital platforms can better support smallholder farmers by navigating informal networks, logistical challenges and tight margins. Drawing on insights from Indonesia’s palm‑oil supply chain, Dr. Iancu highlights strategies for improving stability, reducing costs and designing more equitable, resilient supply‑chain platforms.
