Instructional Skills Workshop

The Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) is an internationally certified program designed to increase teaching effectiveness and encourage reflection on teaching practice. More information is available on the ISW website.
The workshop will be about 24 hours long and will be conducted over 4 days. The ISW approach is founded on several core activities which include: participant-led mini-lessons; participant-led feedback; and theme sessions. Confidentiality, peer support and facilitator guidance will all contribute to the success of the workshop.
Participants should expect to spend approximately two hours on preparatory work before the start of the workshop and one hour on assignments after each day.
This offering of the ISW will have two parallel streams: one for graduate students and one for instructors. Given the structure of the ISW, registration for each stream is limited to 6 people.
