Lead Rock Climbing Course at Beyond the Crux

Want to take your knowledge of rock climbing to the next level? UBCO Recreation, in partnership with Beyond the Crux climbing gym, are offering a single day lead rock climbing course. Learn the requirement to lead climb indoors: proper clipping, belay techniques & proper use of different belay devices. The class includes rental equipment and instruction by certified climbing instructors.
Level 2 Lead Course Requirements:

Must have either:

    • Completed Level 1 or Learn to Climb program with UBC in the past 2 years, Or
    • Be able to climb a 5.9 or higher (if they have no top rope belay experience, they cannot do a lead course)
