Political Science Lecture: Checks and Balances as Democracy

Join us for Professor Richard Bellamy’s upcoming lecture, “Checks and Balances as Democracy: Political Equality and Democratic Rule in the Democratic Mixed Constitution” on January 23.

Richard Bellamy is a Professor of Political Science at University College London and one of the leading constitutional theorists in the United Kingdom. He will present work based on his exciting new book Defending the Political Constitution (Oxford UP 2026). Students and faculty interested in reading a chapter of Prof. Bellamy’s work can email Prof. Sigalet for a chapter of the manuscript at: geoffrey.sigalet@ubc.ca

Everyone is welcome to attend the lecture, and registration is not required.
