Prelude: Annual Faculty and Staff Exhibition

We are delighted to invite you back to campus for our annual Homecoming celebration!

Come back to campus to celebrate the UBC Okanagan community with a weekend full of activities! Root for the UBCO Heat in their thrilling soccer match. And what’s summer without a barbecue? Indulge in beverages, bites, and great conversations with fellow alumni and UBC Okanagan’s Principal and Deputy Vice-Chancellor.

As part of the Homecoming celebrations, the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies (FCCS) is hosting a wine and cheese reception for Prelude: Annual Faculty and Staff Exhibition in the FINA Gallery.

This annual exhibition and speaker series features the artwork of selected faculty and staff in FCCS. All of our visual art and media studies instructors are practising artists, as are many of our staff. This is an opportunity to showcase their work and offer opportunities for our students to learn more about our faculty and staff art practices.

Bachelor of Fine Arts alumna and Visual Arts Lecturer Katherine Pickering will offer a talk about her work at the opening reception, starting at 1:30 pm.

Light refreshments and wine will be served. This event is free and open to all.
