Public Anthropology Speaker Series: Insurgency, Counterinsurgency and Peacebuilding

The Public Anthropology Speaker Series invites you to attend a presentation by Dr. George Kunnath.

Dr. Kunnath is a social anthropologist at the International Inequalities Institute, London School of Economics. His work examines the intersecting inequalities of race, class, caste and gender in armed conflicts, and peace processes in the global south.

Drawing on anthropological research among the Maoists in India and Farc Guerrillas in Colombia, this presentation discusses persisting conflicts, durable peace, and ethics of engagement and positionality in violent contexts.
