Public Anthropology Speaker Series: Reconnecting, Reconciling and Embodying Values of Decolonization

January 28, 2022 at 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Free

The Public Anthropology Speaker Series, in collaboration with the 2022 Community, Culture + Global Studies Speaker Series, invites you to attend a talk with Sandra Fox.

Fox is from the Musqueam Indian Band and has lived most of her life in Syilx and Secwepemc territories. She is currently the Indigenous community liaison in the Office of Research Services at the UBC Okanagan.

Fox will present how in the move towards true reconciliation, it is imperative we each begin a personal journey of decolonization where we explore who we are as a whole person before examining our values and how we choose to embody them each day.

All are welcome to attend this free event, but pre-registration is required.
