Discover the power behind the technologies you use every day—join this interactive and informative workshop on rechargeable batteries. This workshop will introduce the basics of rechargeable batteries, operating mechanisms, cutting-edge research, and how they power everyday technologies—from smartphones to electric vehicles. Attendees will also get hands-on experience by assembling a coin cell, making the science behind energy storage fun and easy to understand. Attendees will gain an understanding of how batteries work, how they are used in daily life, and how they impact the real world. No prior knowledge needed. Students and postdoctoral fellows from all fields are welcome to attend.
