Research Poster and Teach-In: Theory and Practice Made Visible with Scholar‑Practitioners in Action

April 7 at 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Event Series (See All)

Join the Okanagan School of Education teacher candidates for an interactive showcase of pedagogy, research and hands-on learning. In a science-fair-style setting, candidates will facilitate engaging 15-minute lessons connected to their research posters, guiding participants through activities that bring key concepts to life.

The interactive poster presentations will feature student-developed inquiries grounded in essential questions of their own design. Presenters will share their emerging understandings, synthesizing learning from across multiple courses and seminars undertaken this term, and considering how these insights are informing their emerging teaching practice in their upcoming practicum and future classrooms.

Through group discussions, demonstrations, experiments and interactive tasks, you will have the opportunity to experience their teaching strategies by actively engaging with the content and deepening your understanding of the ideas they have woven together.

This event will take place from 10 am to noon and from 1 to 3 pm.
