Join The Sankofa Book Club at The Black Student Space for a discussion on Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s, The Thing Around Your Neck, a powerful collection of short stories exploring identity, migration, love, home and the search for identity.

In preparation for our discussion, please read the following short stories (available at the UBC Library and online):

  • The Thing Around Your Neck
  • The Arrangers of Marriage (Available on the UBC Library website as ‘New Husband’)
