Event Series Event Series: Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Sexual Assault Awareness Month: March & Teach-in Awareness

January 21 at 11:00 am - 1:30 pm

Organized by the Student Union Okanagan in collaboration with the Sexual Violence Prevention & Response Office, this is a student-led march across the campus to take a stand, call out, and bring heightened awareness to crimes of sexual assault that occur not only on campus but across the world.

Folks are invited to meet outside UNC at 11 am for the march.

From 12:30–1:30 pm, we will also have a teach-in after the march where we will educate students not only of the importance of January as the month we call awareness to sexual assault but also how to build community amongst each other to prevent such crimes from taking place. We will hold space in particular for understanding how sexual assault impacts different communities and demographics and how we can then be better equipped to deal with this issue.
