Skin Hunger Exhibition Artist Panel

March 16, 2021 at 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Skin Hunger is an exhibition organized by students in a fourth year Art History and Visual Culture class on now in the FINA Gallery at UBC Okanagan. The exhibit will run until March 26, 2021, and features works from UBCO’s Bachelor of Fine Arts students, Masters students, and faculty members, focusing on our need for touch and the impact that social distancing is having on our “Skin Hunger”.

This exhibition is a project for a curating course by Stacey Koosel, instructor at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. It allows students to hone their skills into curating their very own exhibition and an opportunity to broadcast their talents.

As part of the Skin Hunger exhibition, a panel of artists will discuss materiality in their artworks, along with how the pandemic has changed or challenged their practice.

The featured artists include: Briar Craig, Pip Dryden, Bethany Heibert, Jordan MacDonald, and Avery Ullyot-Comrie.
