TA Training – Winter 2021 – Term 2

The Centre for Teaching & Learning has collaborated with various academic units to develop a centralized, foundational Teaching Assistant (TA) training program at UBC Okanagan.
The training consists of 10 hours of paid training that is broken into a number of asynchronous and synchronous components in the form of modules within a Canvas course (UBC’s Learning Management System) and online Zoom sessions. Please note that attendance at the synchronous Zoom sessions is required.
Sessions are scheduled for the following dates and times:
- Saturday, January 15, 9 am to 2 pm PST
- Saturday, January 22, 10 to 11 am PST
Note: This training is for new Teaching Assistants starting their TA position with UBC Okanagan in January 2022.
If you are a returning or continuing TA who previously completed this training, you may have access to the modules for your continued learning and development but you will not be paid again for the training. If this is the case, you can exit this survey now.
