Tech Talk #8: Attempting the ekphrastic: The corrugating effect of Instagram and the Open Science Framework

March 28, 2023 at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Join us in the AMP Lab (FIP 251) for a Tech Talk presented by PhD student Madeline Donald will provide a glimpse into the worlds of captioning, alt-text, and how technologies including these features encourage creators to engage thickly with their content, not only making it more accessible to more people but also facilitating a creation process that folds in layers of experience and increases communication potential.

The Tech Talks Series is a lunch hour, casual presentation and conversation about digital tools and digital humanities focused research, organized by the AMP Lab.

About the AMP Lab

The AMP Lab at UBC Okanagan houses projects that engage in the work of the humanities–adding value to cultural artifacts through interpretation and analysis–-in a digital context, with an emphasis on audio media and/or poetry.
