Trans and queer friendly yoga

Join Pride Programming for a free yoga class!
Led by a trauma-informed certified yoga instructor from the Queer community, we will be moving through stretches that may provide relief for muscles that are often tense while binding, in addition to regular practice. Allies and folks from all levels of experience are welcome to join the class.
The class will feature social and connection time from 5:30 to 6:00 pm, and the yoga itself will take place from 6:00 to 7:00pm.
Yoga classes are held in the Nechako Gathering Room. You can expect light background music and the instructor talking. Folks joining the class are welcome to step out at any time and can take breaks as needed. There are gender-neutral washrooms and places to change on the same floor. This class will consist of low-impact movement in a safe and queer-friendly space.
Wear comfortable activewear and bring a water bottle. All equipment needed will be provided, but those with their own yoga mats and blocks are welcome to bring them if that is more comfortable for you. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to attend.
Waivers will be available prior to the event.
It is recommended that you arrive 10 minutes early to this class to get oriented to the space and settle in.
