UBC Okanagan Interdisciplinary Student Health Conference

The 10th annual UBC Okanagan Interdisciplinary Student Health Conference (ISHC) brings together students from across campus to showcase their health science research and public health experiences at an engaging presentation event. Student researchers, including graduate students, are invited to submit abstracts for poster or oral presentations, and exemplary presentations are given recognition at the end of the conference. Other students can support the conference as volunteers.

Students may present in one of three formats:

  • 10 minute oral presentation (competitive selection process)
  • 5 minute oral presentation
  • Poster presentation

Overall Schedule:
8:30 am – 9:00 am: Registration
9:00 am – 10:00 am: Opening and keynote
10:00 am- 12:00 pm: 5-minute oral presentations and poster presentations
12:00 pm- 12:30 pm: Lunch break
12:30 pm – 1:15 pm: 10-minute oral presentations
1:30 pm – 2:00 pm: Awards and closing

Keynote Presentation: Lost in (Knowledge) Translation: The ins and outs of research and knowledge exchange
