Weeks of Welcome: Volunteer with the Okanagan Fruit Tree Project

Join the Community Service Learning team and explore a bit more of Kelowna while contributing to a local non-profit! We are partnering with the Okanagan Fruit Tree Project for a morning of volunteering at their farm on Saturday, October 3rd at 9 am. Learn more about how they support local food security and sustainability, and meet new people, all while giving back. Volunteers can take home some fresh food as a thank you for helping out.
Open to: Domestic and international students of all disciplines. No previous experience or training required!
Time commitment: ~3.5 hours on Saturday, October 3 from 9 am to 12:30 pm (including travel time).
What to expect: You will volunteer with a group of other UBCO students to support Okanagan Fruit Tree Project with their daily operations on the farm. This could include planting seeds and seedlings, weeding, or harvesting! We will be outdoors at a rural property, and there will be other non-UBCO volunteers present.
All equipment will be provided at the farm, and there are limited spots for transportation from campus to the farm, so register early.
