First Day of Class: Make it Count

The UBC Okanagan Centre for Teaching and Learning invites you to join us for a series of online workshops.

The first day of class requires planning. Beyond introducing the syllabus, the first day of class is an opportunity to set the tone, establish relationships and demonstrate the value and relevance of your subject. It is an opportunity to outline your approach to the course, pique students’ curiosity and begin to build a learning community. In this workshop, we will explore strategies for helping you to do that.
