Starting a Conversation with Bethany Presley: How do smaller Canadian cities address homelessness with limited funding and capacity?

November 24, 2021 at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Join us for Starting a Conversation with Bethany Presley. Starting the Conversation is an informal, lunch time discussion series hosted by the Institute for Community Engaged Research.

Presley will present on her MA research which explores the optimal ways of managing and ending homelessness in smaller Canadian cities using Vernon, BC, as a case study.

Her research investigates how Vernon’s social service sector addresses homelessness and outlines a set of best practices in mitigating homelessness with limited funding and capacity.

By examining the challenges and successes of developing homelessness policies in smaller Canadian cities with a population size of less than 50,000, Presley aims to fill the knowledge gap.

Everyone is welcome. To register for this Zoom event, please email: icer.ok@ubc.ca
