RESCHEDULED: Truth and Legacy: Indigenous Stories Film Showcase

October 3 at 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

You’re invited to a special one-day screening of short films by Indigenous creators, highlighting the profound impacts of the residential school system and the enduring legacy of education on Inuit, Métis and First Nation communities. These powerful stories delve into the deep connections between education and Indigenous identity, revealing how schooling has shaped and continues to shape the lives, cultures and self-perceptions of Indigenous peoples.

Shared through the voices of those who have lived and continue to live through this history, the films offer perspectives that are both deeply personal and culturally significant.

This is a drop-in event, so feel free to come and go as your schedule allows. Whether you stay for one film or several, we encourage you to take this opportunity to engage with these important narratives.

Snacks and drinks will be provided, and there will be short intervals between films to allow for questions and reflections.

We look forward to seeing you there and sharing in this meaningful experience.
