Alumni Office Hours with Henry McQueen – Senior Development Manager at Concert Properties
July 8, 2020 at 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
FreeIn this Alumni Office Hour, Henry will speak about the importance of starting with passion, sharing your talent with your community, and how these simple steps can lead to a fulfilling career.
A Vancouver-native, Henry discovered his love for cities and community design while studying Urban Geography at UBC. Henry followed this passion to Queen’s University where he earned a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning focusing in land use and real estate development, ultimately leading to a role with the City of Toronto’s Real Estate Services team helping to manage the City’s portfolio of over 5,000 properties. Building on his experience in the public sector and desire to shape the development of new sustainably designed communities, Henry joined Concert Properties, where he currently manages the development of award winning communities across Ontario and British Columbia. While studying, Henry also competed as a varsity rugby player for UBC and Queen’s, ultimately captaining both teams before playing at the provincial and national level.
In addition to his work with Concert Properties, Henry combines his passion for community building and development by serving as Vice Chair at Co:Here, an affordable housing community in East Vancouver, Director for the Meraloma Athletic Club, and as a member of the Urban Development Institute Under 40 Executive Committee.
