Annual Report on UBCO’s Declaration of Commitments to the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action

In 2019, UBC Okanagan pledged to support Indigenous students, culture and scholarship through a public declaration of five commitments in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action.
UBC Okanagan’s commitments were made to support and implement the recommendations of the Indigenous Advisory Committee to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Principal to advance truth and reconciliation.
On March 1, UBC Okanagan will release its second annual report. Join us for a virtual session to discuss UBCO’s continuing progress toward fulfilling our TRC commitments.
The event will include a panel discussion diving deep into the groundbreaking work that is being done on our campus and in partnership with communities in Indigenous language revitalization.
President Santa Ono will provide remarks and Chancellor Steven Point (xwĕ lī qwĕl tĕl) will offer reflections following the panel discussion.
