Career Development Week for International Students: Post-Graduate Work Permit
March 8, 2022 at 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
FreeGraduating this term or this year? Find out how to apply for the post-graduation work permit (PGWP) and to remain in Canada as a worker as part of Career Development Week for International Students.
A PGWP allows you to remain in Canada and work full-time after you complete a certificate, diploma or degree that is at least eight months in length. If you are unsure if you will stay or return to Canada after studies, consider applying for the PGWP in case as you will lose the opportunity to apply after 180 days. You do not need to reside in Canada or hold a job at all times to keep the work permit valid.
Career Development Week for International Students is designed to help international students navigate the Canadian job market and to identify workplace expectations while developing intercultural competency.
Participants will be able to build job-search, interview, and networking skills, as well as understand more about the legal requirements for working in Canada.
Registration required.
