Epic Reading with Xiaoxuan Huang

Join the AMP Lab and past Artist-in-Residence Xiaoxuan Huang (MFA) for an Epic Reading of the collected works of Fred Wah. Xiaoxuan / Sherry Huang (she/they) is a writer, scholar and educator whose poetics expands through sound, image, and performance alongside traditional forms of printed matter.
This event is free, open to anyone, requires no pre-registration, and is a come and go as you please type of atmosphere. We will take turns reading from selected texts.
The Epic Reading Series is a three-hour-long reading event featuring the entire collected works of acclaimed Canadian poets, curated by an AMP Lab affiliate or student, where guests are invited to read poetry aloud.

The AMP Lab at UBC Okanagan houses projects that engage in the work of the humanities—adding value to cultural artifacts through interpretation and analysis—in a digital context, with an emphasis on audio media and/or poetry.
