First-Gen Student Consultation

UBCO is currently working towards better understanding ways that we can support First-Generation students on the Okanagan campus.
We are looking for First-Gen students from any year level to join us for a 1.5-hour consultation session to talk about their experience so far. Participants will be given a $30 gift card to a reputable retailer as compensation for this time. First-Generation students are classified as anyone whose primary caregiver(s) did not attend post-secondary.
Participants can expect small group conversations and a low level of noise. There are accessible and gender-neutral washrooms on the second floor of the UNC. Information about the consultation and some questions to help guide the initial conversation will be sent out to participants prior to the session. Refreshments will be provided.
