History of First Nations Reserves in the Okanagan

April 4 at 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Have you ever wondered how First Nations reserves were created?

This term, students of HIST495B have been researching the history of the creation and adaptation of First Nations reserves in the Okanagan region. Students were paired with an Indigenous community in the Okanagan and tasked with researching the history of the reserves associated with each Nation.

Their projects will contribute to a digital mapping project that documents the history of reserves in British Columbia.

Please join us as the students share their findings!
