Mindfest

June 26 at 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Department of Psychology is hosting Mindfest, a community event specifically designed to share the innovative and influential psychology research being conducted at UBC Okanagan.

“The planning committee is thrilled to be putting on this unique inaugural event that will feature some of the brightest minds in our Psychology Department competing to showcase how their work positively impacts community health,” says Psychology Professor Michael Woodworth.

The unique format with see five different psychology labs competing with one another on topics ranging from online dating and deception to cannabis and psychedelics. Following the presentations, audience members will get to vote on the research they believe is most beneficial for the community.

The event will then move into the lobby where there will be games and activities for attendees as well as catered food and a musical performance by country music singer Ben Klick.

The event is free to attend but registration is required.
