Preparing and Preserving Your Research Outputs: Basics and Beyond

November 4, 2021 at 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

free

cIRcle, UBC’s digital repository, is home to more than 75,000 scholarly works and offers preservation and discovery solutions for a variety of media, from digitized out-of-print books to field research images.

At the end of this one-hour session, which is part of the Open Scholarship in Practice series, you will be able to:

  • Identify common cases when you need a license to share work and which ones may apply;
  • Understand key metadata principles and why they are important for finding your work;
  • Make file format choices that support long-term preservation; and
  • Know when to use cIRcle, another platform, or both.
