Privacy in Cloud Environments

January 30, 2020 at 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Presented by Paul Hancock, Legal Counsel, Information and Privacy, Office of the University Counsel.

Over the last decade, computing resources have begun to move into the cloud. Cloud computing, which provides hardware, software and other infrastructure resources over the internet, has significant advantages. However, it also raises significant privacy and security issues.

In this presentation, Paul will provide an overview of these issues, including a summary of the implications of the recent changes to the FIPPA legislation (Bill 35).
