Remembering War to END WAR

November 5 at 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Drop by the Sawchuck Theatre on Wednesday, November 5, to pick up or make a White Poppy and chat with others about how war is remembered and how we can work to end militarism.

White poppies have been worn since the 1920s, symbolizing mourning for ALL people killed in war, and not just “our soldiers,” and symbolizing the commitment to prevent war, including resistance against what has become the military-academic-industrial complex.

This event is organized by the Cultural Studies program in the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies.
