StEARing AI: A Photovoice Project

Join the photovoice project to share your understanding or use of generative AI tools for learning and academic integrity practice at UBC.

Students who attend this event will learn the basics of photographic art and tips to take effective photos, and contribute your photovoice on how to promote equitable and diverse conversations on academic integrity.

Presenters

  • Joanne Gervais, MFA, is the Media Manager in the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies at UBC’s Okanagan campus.
  • Ziv Weiis a fourth year BFA student in the Creative Studies program at UBC’s Okanagan campus.
  • Anita Chaudhuri, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Teaching in the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies at UBC’s Okanagan campus.

This event is part of aStEAR Enhancement Fund project to promote equitable and diverse conversations on academic integrity with students as partners and leaders.

This project takes an asset-based approach to gather diverse student views on ethical implications of using generative AI for learning and its impact on academic integrity matters.
